Welsh Triathlon wishes to clarify the position with regards to its awards policy. All Welsh Championships will be age-grouped according to athletes’ ages on 31st December of the current year. For 2007 trophies will be awarded for the top 3 male and female in all age-groups as set out below:-

Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female athletes in the Tristar 2 (11-12) Tristar 3 (13-14), Youth (15-16), Junior (17-19), Senior (20-39), Veteran (40-49), Super-Veteran (50-59) and Vintage-Veteran (60+) categories.

Please note that this awards policy is specific to Welsh Championships. Welsh Championship events are usually incorporated into existing races which will have their own prize and awards policies as governed by the individual race organisers.

Athletes who wish to enter a Welsh Championship event must join Welsh Triathlon prior to the race and present their Membership Card/Race Licences at registration.
